A Caring Closet
Our Story
A Caring Closet was founded in 2005 by Jonte Garrett- Wesley. Jonte founded the organization to alleviate the stress on economically challenged families during Prom Season.
Each year, the organization host the Prom Store, an event that allows the young women to have an awesome boutique experience. Along with a personal shopper, the ladies select a gown, makeup and accessories for their special night.
Through the years, A Caring Closet has added additional programs to make the event more miraculous. Etiquette Training and College Preparation classes have proven to be wonderful additions.
Since inception, the organization has serviced over 1,000 young ladies in Houston and surrounding areas.
